Uplift Gym – Membership Terms & Conditions (2025)

This Membership Agreement is entered into between Uplift Gym Pty Ltd (ABN: 15 860 890 481 and the individual named in the membership application (“you”, “the Member”). By signing this agreement or entering into a Direct Debit Authority, you confirm you understand and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

 

1. Membership Types & Pricing

Uplift Gym offers the following membership options for 2025:

Minimum term for Direct Debit memberships is 15 weeks.

  • Upfront plans (10 weeks) begin from the week you commence training. Weeks cannot be paused, extended, or transferred except in cases of documented medical emergencies.

 

2. Cooling-Off Period

You may cancel within 48 hours of signing this agreement. Cancellations must be made in writing to admin@upliftgym.com.au within the cooling-off window to be effective.

 

3. Health & Safety

By entering this agreement, you confirm that you are physically able to undertake exercise and do not suffer from any condition that could pose a risk to your health. You agree to disclose any relevant medical information and complete a Pre-Exercise Questionnaire.

Uplift Gym is not liable for injury or harm unless caused by proven negligence.

 

4. Payments, Fees & Direct Debit

All weekly memberships are billed in advance via Direct Debit using Ezidebit.

Transaction Fees:

  • Bank Account (BSB/Account): $0.80

  • Visa/Mastercard: 1.87%

  • AMEX/Diners: 4.4%

  • Failed Debit Fee: $10.20

You are responsible for keeping your payment details current. Missed payments may result in suspended access until the account is brought up to date.

 

5. Holds & Suspensions

  • You are entitled to up to 4 weeks of hold per 12 months at no cost.

  • Holds must be requested in writing to admin@upliftgym.com.au and cannot occur during a cancellation notice period.

  • In case of medical incapacity, holds of up to 12 weeks may be granted with supporting documentation and no fee.

 

6. Session Cancellation & Bonus Sessions

  • You must give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session (via WhatsApp to your coach).

  • If Uplift cancels a session and it cannot be rescheduled within the week, you will receive a bonus session.

  • Sessions missed due to late cancellation or failure to book are forfeited.

 

7. Late Arrivals

Sessions begin and end as scheduled. If you arrive late:

  • For 1:1 PT: Your session will end at the original time.

  • For group sessions (e.g., Lifting Club): You may join late, but the session will not be extended.

 

8. Membership Changes

  • Downgrading (e.g., 1:1 PT → Online): Requires 7 days’ written notice.

  • Upgrading (e.g., Online → 1:1 PT): Requires 1 day’s written notice.

  • Any unused portion of a minimum term transfers to the new membership.

  • Changes must be submitted to admin@upliftgym.com.au.

  • If you are planning on cancelling after your minimum term, you must EMAIL admin@upliftgym.com.au and we will cancel after TWO weeks notice. 

 

9. Conduct Expectations

All members must:

  • Use equipment safely

  • Respect other members and staff

  • Not distribute or use illegal or performance-enhancing substances

  • Not conduct commercial or coaching services unless approved or working as a coach under Uplift Gym

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership and referral to authorities if necessary. Members are liable for damage or harm caused by misconduct.

 

10. Security & Access

The premises are under 24-hour video surveillance for safety. Surveillance is reviewed in the event of incidents but is not a substitute for personal safety precautions. Access is limited to the designated gym entrance (garage).

 

11. Privacy & Confidentiality

Your personal information is collected solely to deliver training services and will be handled in accordance with Australian Privacy Laws. You agree not to disclose Uplift Gym's training programs or methods externally.

You consent to Uplift Gym using photos/videos of you in training for marketing purposes unless you opt out in writing.

 

12. Complaints & Feedback

Feedback should be directed to Isabel or Kyle in person. If this is not suitable, you may submit a written concern to admin@upliftgym.com.au. All complaints will be handled with discretion and professionalism.

 

13. Legal Framework

This agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You acknowledge that it is a legally binding document, and that you have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice before agreeing to its terms.
