How do I know if I can benefit from personal training?

Personal Training is guaranteed to work if there is a mutual understanding between the PT & client that hard work equals results. Our clients are held accountable by our excellent PTs & we have a fantastic track record of getting results, whether it is to qualify for Weightlifting Nationals or lose 10cm off their waistline.

What can I expect us to work on together?

Each 60 minute session will revolve around following a day of the custom program the client receives & ensuring they feel equipped to follow the program at a gym by themselves. We aim to educate our clients on training, lifestyle & nutrition advice so they can feel confident with their gym program & lifting weights well.

Do you provide the equipment needed for our sessions?

Yes, Uplift PT studio is highly equipped & can fit up to 6 PT clients at a time. We have Olympic Weightlifting equipment & dumbbells.

How many sessions will I need?

We highly recommend at least 10 sessions. Otherwise, if you’re quite advanced, you can purchase a technique freshener - which is a one off casual session booked in advance to work on a skill you need help with, e.g snatching.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 24 hours of your session, you are expected to reschedule the next week or forfeit your session.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We need at least 24 hours to book in for PT clients.

What is the cost of training at Uplift?

All prices are listed on our website under services. In summary, Online coaching starts from $50 AUD weekly & 1:1 Personal Training starts from $80 AUD weekly. All costs include GST.

I want to compete in Weightlifting - how do I do that?

Good news! Uplift Weightlifting Club is a registered AWF club. This means you can compete under your coaches in Australian Weightlifting sanctioned competitions.

Why is coaching more expensive than programs on the internet?

Coaching is more expensive because it is personalised. We spend up to 2 - 3 hours weekly per online client as we watch hours of training footage and provide quality feedback. Programs are good for those who cannot afford coaching, but if you want to make extensive gains - you need a coach.

Do you sponsor athletes?

Uplift Weightlifting Club has a Athlete Benefits Scheme. All incentives are based off the Australian Weightlifting Federation (AWF) grading system. The Scheme is attached.

I dont want to compete. Will you guys still take me on?

Yes we do! Recreational athletes are always welcome at Uplift. Competing is not a prerequisite, and we only let our athletes compete if they feel mentally and physically ready to.
